How to Remove Leads from a Lead Extraction Campaign

You cannot remove leads directly from a lead extraction campaign. The workflow to filter and remove leads happens at the point of importing them into an outreach campaign. This article shows you how.

Step 1: Add leads to a campaign

  • From your lead extraction campaign, click "Add to Campaign." Create a new campaign or select an existing one.

  • Name the campaign and click "Create." OR, select an existing campaign and click "Add to campaign."

Step 2: Map your variables

The first screen after creating the Outreach Campaign is the variable mapping step. Map your custom variables here and then continue to the next step.

Step 3: Filter and remove leads

This is where you remove leads before they enter the campaign.

  • From here, you can filter leads based on any imported variable like First Name, Company Name, Followers, etc. Once the filter is applied, the leads matching your condition will appear.

  • You can select specific leads manually or bulk select all leads that match the filters you applied. For example:

    • Filter by first name to find and remove a specific person

    • Filter by followers to exclude leads with fewer than 1,000 followers

    • Filter by location with "does not include" to exclude leads from a specific country or region

  • When you have selected leads, you can either remove the selected leads by clicking the "Delete" button, or continue with the selected leads by clicking the "Add leads to Campaign" button.

Step 4: Avoid duplicate leads (optional)

  • When you click "Add Leads to Campaign," a pop-up appears before the leads are imported. Here you can enable "Exclude Leads that Already Exist in Other Campaigns."

Pop-up modal showing the "Exclude Leads that Already Exist in Other Campaigns" toggle, with a red square around the toggle and the confirm button.
  • Enabling this will automatically skip any leads that are already active in another outreach campaign in your workspace. This prevents the same lead from being contacted by two campaigns at the same time.

  • Click confirm to proceed with the import.
