How to run a search

  • Go to the Lead Database and select your first filter category. Type your keyword and press Enter to add it as a tag. You can add multiple keywords within the same filter.

Adding filters in lead database
  • Add filters from other categories to refine your results further. Click "Search" after each change to update the results.

If you add multiple values within the same filter, the database treats them as OR conditions, not AND. A result matches if it fits any of the values, not all of them.

Location tip: if a city or state name exists in multiple countries, add the country name after it to narrow results. For example, type "California United States" rather than just "California."

Location filter showing "California United States" and "Italy" as two separate entries, with an arrow pointing to both.

Exporting leads from Lead Database

  • Once your filters are set and your results look right, click "Export Leads" in the top right corner.

  • Name your list, then set the lead limit. Each lead costs 2 credits to export. The total credit cost is shown before you confirm.

  • Click "Start Export." The export will appear in "My Files" and will process in real time as leads are verified.

  • Once complete, you can either download the file as a CSV or add the leads directly to a campaign.

💡 Tip: Stack filters gradually and hit search after each addition. This lets you see how each filter changes your results before you commit to an export.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I exclude specific industries or companies from my search?

No. Sendpilot does not support negative filters in the lead database yet. This is on the roadmap. For now, export your leads as a CSV or import them directly into a campaign, then remove unwanted leads manually from the leads tab. Another workaround is to add an ICP Score Check step to your campaign sequence. This scores each lead against your ideal customer profile and automatically branches unqualified leads onto a separate path where you can stop the sequence for them. Read more about ICP Score Check here.

Can I select specific leads before exporting?

No. The lead database exports leads in bulk. You cannot hand-pick individual leads from the results. To select specific leads, export the full list as a CSV or import into a campaign, then remove the leads you do not want from the leads tab.

Can I save a search in the lead database?

No, saved searches are not available yet. This is on the roadmap and will be added in a future update.

Can I enrich email addresses?

No. Sendpilot enriches contact and company data but does not enrich contact information. The only contact data returned is the lead's LinkedIn URL. Email enrichment is planned for a future release.

Can I enrich phone numbers?

No. Same as email, Sendpilot does not enrich phone numbers. The only contact data returned is the lead's LinkedIn URL. Phone number enrichment is planned for a future release.

Can I filter leads based on LinkedIn profile activity?

No. This filter is not available in the lead database.

Can I filter leads based on mutual connections?

No. The lead database is not connected to your LinkedIn account, so it has no access to your network data. Mutual connection filtering is not possible.
