Here's the most common mistakes people make when setting up a campaign, and how to avoid them:
Short wait time after sending a connection request.
Typically, leads take a few days to respond. So setting the delay to only one day is a common mistake because most of the leads won't have responded yet. If you have the delay on one day and the lead accepts after the one day mark, they have already been moved to the left side of the sequence and you have lost that prospect.
Instead, do this:
For best results, set the delay to anywhere between 5-15 days. This gives the prospects enough time to accept the connection request and move to the success right side of the workflow.
Having multiple campaigns active at the same time.
Sendpilot lets you have one account connected to multiple active campaigns at once, but we have a total limit of 50 actions per account per day across all campaigns in Sendpilot.
Which means if you have 5 active campaigns sending only connection requests and no other actions, the daily limit of 50 actions per day should split evenly between the campaigns which results in 10 connection requests per campaign for the account. But it may not always be split evenly.
If you have multiple campaigns active on same LinkedIn account, the available actions per campaign automatically decreases. Which may lead to some campaigns having no actions left, which in turn can make it look like the campaign hasn't run properly.
But really, the available actions may have been spent in another campaign.
This is why we recommend to run maximum two campaigns at the same time if you only have one LinkedIn account. Keep in mind that you also cannot prioritize a specific campaign as that is fully automated. If you want one campaign to get all the action limits you'll need to pause all other campaigns.
To see the limits of your account, head to the tab "LinkedIn Accounts".
Being Unaware of the Lead Connection Degree.
Its good to know the connection degree of the leads in the campaign because running the wrong actions for leads can lead to the campaign failing and as a result lead to poor campaign performance.
If the first action of the campaign is either:
Connection request to 1st-degree connections (leads that are connected with you already).
βSend message to 2nd and 3rd-degree connections (leads that are not your connections).
That is why we recommend to filter your lead list before starting a campaign, this will help prevent such issues.
To all 1st degree connections, the first action can be:
View profile
Like post
Send Message
Send Voice Note
β
To all 2nd or 3rd degree connections, the first action can be:
View Profile
Follow
Like post
Send connection requests
