Is it good to use free LinkedIn accounts with Sendpilot?

A very frequent question about using free LinkedIn accounts in Sendpilot.

You can connect any personal LinkedIn account to Sendpilot (no business pages), but before you do you need to make sure that:

  1. The account is old enough.

    • Because brand new accounts needs to be warmed up slowly.

  2. You have enough connections.

    • You need to make sure that you have at least 100 connections before using any automation tool on your LinkedIn account.

  3. The account is not connected to any other automation tool.

    • Being connected and running multiple automations from multiple tools at once can severely hurt the accounts reputation and disrupt the automation workflows.

How to prepare a new LinkedIn account

If the LinkedIn account is brand-new, regardless if its premium or free, it’s important to manually warm it up before connecting it to Sendpilot to make sure the account is not flagged by LinkedIn.

Here's how to warm up manually

  1. Send connection requests to the "Suggested" profiles. If you head to the "My Network" tab, you'll see sections that start with "People you may know...", which is a good place to start.

  2. Make sure to reach 100 connections. Before connecting the account to Sendpilot, you have to make sure that the profile looks active and has connections.

Connect your LinkedIn account to Sendpilot

After you have reached 100 connections manually, you can connect the account to Sendpilot. After you have connected it, follow this schedule in Sendpilot to warm up the account:

  • First week: 5 connection requests per day.

  • Second week: 10 connection requests per day.

  • Third week: 15 connection requests per day.

  • Fourth week (last increase): 20 connection requests per day.

Until you reach more than 1,000 connections:

  1. Keep the connection request limit to 20 per day, even after the warm-up phase.

  2. Do not add any notes to the connection requests as that increases the risk of being flagged as suspicious activity.

  3. Try to connect with 2nd degree connections to maintain a natural network growth on LinkedIn.

Account limitations if you have a free LinkedIn account:

  1. Connection Requests with Notes: 5-10 connection requests with notes per month, each with a character limit of 200.

  2. Messages: Because you are on a free account you cannot send InMails, which means you can only message your 1st degree connections.

Why you have to avoid using multiple automation tools

Using multiple tools at the same time as Sendpilot puts your account at risk because:

  • It can cause conflicting actions and reduce campaign performance.

  • It can lead to an unstable LinkedIn account or the account disconnecting from Sendpilot.

Make sure to only use Sendpilot for best results.
